Little Steps, Big Aspirations For All

Autumn 2

We have been very busy this half term with our topic 'Let's Celebrate'.

We enjoyed making pumpkin lanterns and scary masks at Halloween.

We also found out about Guy Fawkes and how he tried to blow up the king in the Houses of Parliament!!

During Remembrance week we went to visit 'Tommy' at Seaham and think about all of the people who have died in the wars.

We have also been working hard with Liam and Janet on our 'Sounds of Sunderland' music project. As part of this, we recently had a school visit from The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra! We had great fun listening to the musicians play their instruments, as well as trying to play them ourselves! The musicians helped us to create a piece of music based on Handel's Water Music, which we performed for the rest of the school.

Please enjoy some photos of our half term so far......

We had a really exciting morning getting the Metro from Heworth into Newcastle and going to see Fenwick window.

We bought our own tickets at the machine.

We enjoyed looking at the story of "The Snowman" and listening to the music.

We then went to Fenwick toy department to look at the toys, but not buy any !!!!
