Festivals and Competitions

Sportsability - Class 9

On Tuesday 22nd January 2019 during the morning session Class 9 took part in Sportsability Festival which was organised by Sunderland School Games.  Children participated in the following sports – Tennis, Boccia, Goalball, Sitting Volleyball and New Age Kurling.

Sports Hall Athletics (Parallel Challenge)

Last Friday the 16th of November, 5 pupils from class 6 participated in the Sportshall Athletics (Parallel Challenge) competition.  They were selected from a previous sportsability event.  
Pupils took part in different activities such as, standing long jump, speed bounce, target throw, Hi-stepper, chest push and soft javelin.
We are very proud of them as they represent Sunderland against schools from South Tyneside.
The T&W Final will be on January 25th and our students will be invited to represent Sunderland again at this event.
Pupils involved - Sam, Quinn, Callum, Scotty & Dean. 
Well Done boys!

Sportsability - Class 6

On Wednesday 17th October our students from Class 6 participated in our Sportsability Festival.  This event was organised by Sunderland School Games in Silksworth Youth and Community Centre.  Children took part in different activities such as tennis, multi sports and sportshall athletics.

Change 4 Life Festival

On Wednesday 15th November our students from Change 4 Life dinner club participated in our first Change 4 Life Festival.  This event was organised by School Games organisation in Sunderland Stadium of Light.  Our children had a tour around the stadium they visited the changing rooms and stalls.

They also played competitive games with children from other provisions and handled it really well.

This was a great opportunity for them to take turns, build up their confidence around different adults and children and work as a team.

Sportsability Festival

On Wednesday 18th October our students from Class 3 and Class 7 participated in our Sportsability Festival.  This event was organised by Sunderland School Games in Silksworth Youth and Community Centre.  Children took part in different activities such as tennis and sports hall athletics.

This was a great opportunity for them to keep active and fit.  

Sportsability Festival - 6th February 2018

On Tuesday 6th February our students from Class 10 participated in our Sportsability Festival.  This event was organised by Sunderland School Games in Silksworth Youth and Community Centre. 

This was another great opportunity for them to do exercises.
