Columbia Grange School

Little Steps, Big Aspirations For All

Class 11 Summer 2

Our topic this half term is "How many colours in a rainbow?"

Week 1

We enjoyed listening to the story of Elmer and talked about his different colours and mapped his feelings throughout the book

We started to make a display for the corridor, making palm trees, clouds and the sun. Then we used squares of card to print our own patchwork elephants. They look fantastic!

Week 2

Lots of outdoor art activities, making the most of the lovely sunny weather.

We made cakes and took our drinks into the Discovery Park for a picnic.

Week 3

We made the most of the mostly sunny days and had some fun on the outside areas. We also went on a colour scavenger hunt and found objects in different colours. We did really well and found some great items.

We enjoyed the story "The Rainbow Fish" and talked about how we can be a good friend and what makes us special.

In cookery, we made some delicious rainbow biscuits which tasted as good as they looked!
