We have worked really hard on making our Easter cards, we were patient, persistent and took real care using our fine motor skills to push small pins into the sequins and onto the egg.
As part of our Easter activities we made delicious chocolate crispy cake nests.
Autism Awareness week
We made hand prints as part of the whole school display in the foyer.
To do this we had to talk to each other to find out what colour paints we needed and then had to paint a partners hand in the design they asked for.

We looked at Andy Warhol's 'POP ART' this week and painted Easter eggs in this style, we used bright paints and made a lighter shade as a contrast.

We looked at his 'cubism' art style and we painted a St. Patrick's day clover in this style. We had to remember to mix different shades of green and blue to get the effect.

We all had a great visit to the art galley, we all chose our favourite picture.
This week we have looked at the artist Georgia O'Keeffe and her painting of flowers.
We painted a spring crocus by mixing shade of purple and using a blending technique to merge the shade to make an ombre effect.
Continuing with our spring flowers theme, we made daffodil biscuits in cookery.
We have made a role play book shop in the classroom, everyone is having fun pretending to be the shop assistant and the customers. They have worked very hard on sorting the books in to fiction, non-fiction and comic books.
