Autumn 2 - A sprinkle of Magic and a touch of mess
This half term we are focusing on celebrations and fantasy stories. We will be interacting with sensory props linked to the stories, esploring their smell, feel, sound and sometimes taste. We will continue to develop our communication skills requesting motivating items using our preferred method of communication. We will take part in bus trips to local playparks and work on turn-taking with our friends. We will listen to counting songs, interact with props linked to the songs and build on our understanding of number. We will take part in weekly music, PE and cookery sessions! A very busy and fun-fillled term ahead :-)
Room on the Broom
We have had a fantastic first week back! The children loved listening to the story 'Room on the Broom' and exploring all of the sensory resources linked it. We collected ingredients to make potions, made lists in cauldrons and completed rhyming potions to make our very own spell book. We had a great first PE session with June and were able to complete the obstacle course she set out. We loved taking part in music, especially exploring the sound the wind chimes made. We all made dragon biscuits which looked yummy! We can't wait for next week!
