The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch

This week in maths we have been looking at the term "more". In Attention Everyone this week we watched a beautiful lighthouse painting be done and then later in the week we recreated some of Joseph Mallords work and created our own using watercolours. They were fab!

We visited Whitburn Park this week and had our Lighthouse Keepers Lunch that we made in cookery.

We designed our very own postcard in literacy.

When a Dragon moves in

This week we looked at the story when a dragon moves in. We enjoyed creating illustrations to go with sentences from the story. We loved exploring the sand and building our own sandcastles.

We made dragon chocolate brownies in cookery by following instructions.

We visited Dawdon Dene park which all of the children loved exploring a new park.

The children have been expanding on their yoga moves and doing a great job!

The Storm Whale

Under the Sea

This week we have looked at the story Under the Sea. We have been counting lots of under the sea things. We had a lovely trip to Tynemouth Aquarium and then a Netflix and picnic afternoon.

We then talked about our trip in Literacy and wrote sentences and words to match the photos that we had taken. We have been creating our end of year folder by painting our names and selecting photos from the begining of the year until now. We have been doing blow art pictures of puffer fish in Art.

We have also continued practicing for our sports day in PE.

Fergus the Ferry

This week has been a funny little week with the short week however we have still managed to use shapes to create boats. We have listened to the story Fergus the Ferry. In attention everyone we have made a boat.

In art we did a new technique to paint our blowfish. We used Blow art. All of the children loved this.

We have explored the adventure playground and the discovery park and we have been practising for our sports day next week.

We also all visited our new classes ready for September.

Thankyou for all your help and support with the children this school year.

We have had lots of progression and celebrated small steps and huge steps.

I hope you all have a lovely summer break!
