Our topic this half term is 'Minibeasts'
Superworm
We started our topic looking at 'worms' as our first minibeast. We read a non-fiction text together giving us key facts and information about worms. We also read the Julia Donaldson story 'Superworm', where we joined in with familiar words and phrases in the text. In art, we drew and then painted our own worms and then painted habitat backgrounds for our very own wormery art display. In literacy we wrote sentences from the facts we had found out. We also worked together to build our own wormery for in the classroom and went out on to the discovery park to find worms to put inside. Have a look at what we have been up to below!
