Cobalt Class - Autumn 2
Our topic this half term is 'Splish, Splash, Splosh!'
Week 1 - Halloween and Bonfire Night
Before starting our topic, we used our first week back to focus and enjoy the celebrations of Halloween and Bonfire Night. During the week we read stories linked to these celebrations in Literacy, Halloween themed games in P.E. as well as a Bonfire Night attention everyone lesson.
In art we created pumpkin pictures, mixing red and yellow paint to create orange and then exploring tints and shades by adding white and black paints. We also used chalks to create beautiful firework pictures which you can see us taking pride in below!
Week 2 - Remembrance Day
To help celebrate remembrance day at the weekend Cobalt class created some Poppy collage artwork. This is to form part of a whole school display that will adorn the walls and windows of the splat zone. The children used a range of different materials to complete their artwork. Some children created red poppies to remember the soldiers while others created purple poppies to remember the animals who served in the wars.
