Fee Fi Fo Fum I smell
magic and mystery

This week week our story is,

Jack and the Jelly Beanstalk.

We visited Richardson's Garden Centre and looked for bean seeds and plants to bring back to class.

In the café we had a drink of juice and a biscuit.

We moulded beanstalks out of playdough, used cotton wool for clouds and made a little Jack climb up them.

We were very brave in PE and climbed on the large  apparatus, we pretended we were climbing the

jelly beanstalk from our story and collected jelly bean bags as we went around.

We read Marlene's Magic Birthday and made a magic trick using bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar.

We waved our magic wands, said the magic words and look what happened!

Thursday 23rd May was Outdoor Classroom Day but we had lots of showers so some of our day was spent inside the classroom.

We took part in two science experiments, dancing raisins and making our own bubble mixture.

We placed raisins in lemonade to see if they would dance. We waited and waited but nothing happened even with our magic words and wands but we did see lots of bubbles around the raisins.

We mixed washing up liquid, water and glycerine together and used our magic wands to stir saying some magic words.

We went outside and had great fun trying to blow some bubbles with our  mixture.
