Little Steps, Big Aspirations For All

Summer 1

Our Pink Class Summer 1 half term topic is...

ANIMALS IN OUR WORLD!

Over this next half term as a class, we are going to explore the world around us and take a look at all of the animals that live amongst us and in our world, whether that is on our homes as pets, at the zoo, on the farm or even out in the wild!

We would love for you to join in by taking a look at what we get up to! Keep checking up on the class page for regular updates on all of our marvellous learning and new skills that we will face this half term.

We wanted to take a moment to update you on what your child has been up to this past half term at school. Our theme for the half term was "Animals in Our World," and we're thrilled to report that the children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the topic through a wide range of activities.

One of the highlights of the half term was our tuff spot exploration sessions. The children had a blast getting hands-on with different textures, from fluffy feathers to bumpy scales. They were able to investigate different animal habitats and learn about the unique features of each animal.

Sensology lessons were another big hit with the children. They loved learning about zoo animals and the different sounds and textures associated with them. We created a sensory experience that allowed them to feel the rough skin of an elephant or the soft fur of a lion, and they could hear the roaring of a tiger or the chattering of monkeys.

Our Attention Everyone sessions were equally engaging. The children were excited to see barking dogs that could walk and chirping birds that could talk. They learned about the different types of animals and their habitats and thoroughly enjoyed learning through play.

Overall, it's been a fantastic half term, and we're thrilled with the progress that your child has made. We hope that they have enjoyed exploring the world of animals as much as we have enjoyed teaching them.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you next term.
