Autumn Term 1 - Magical me!
So far this term we have focused on settling in to our new environment and enjoyed building relationships with our new adults. We have explored the areas around school and worked on transitioning between them using visuals as support. We have taken part in lots of intensive interaction sessions and are starting to request more.
Our topic is Magical me! So far we have listened to the stories 'Happy to Be Me', 'From Head to Toe' and 'Owl Babies'. We have joined in with actions songs about our bodies and used different materials to build people. We have found our photos from the welcome board and used our photos to make little versions of ourselves. We have explored different sensory materials using our senses and used them to help us develop our early handwriting skills. We have taken part in cookery weekly, making sandwiches and choosing our filling. Our adults are so proud of how well we have settled in :-)
